// trailer – The Avengers – Some Thoughts

// What exactly are the Avengers avenging?

So a while back now, The Avengers teaser trailer dropped into our laps and having had some time to digest, here are some thoughts… Not may, but a few.

1. I’m looking forward to this movie, even if the trailer is nothing more than a show boat piece to get Samuel L. Jackson more voice over work.

2. Marvel have had a strong year. Thor was excellent and I’m told Captain America is equally as good. There will now be a higher expectation on Marvel and Disney (who take over the reigns of most of the Marvel products from Paramount). The danger is obviously that there are a whole host of super heroes all fighting it out for screen time. How will Joss Whedon manage to satisfy the appetites of the fans of the individual characters. Personally I’m a big Iron Man and Thor fan, and with their recent success you would hope Whedon would go to town with these two taking the lead.

3. The Incredible Hulk. Whilst I do like the science part of Bruce Banner’s evolution into the angry green giant, I can’t help but feel that he is the weakest link. Fingers crossed Whedon can make Ruffalo’s trashing smashing monster more appealing. We don’t want another movie of just screaming and shouting.
Whedon is a good director, but let’s not forget his movie credentials aren’t exactly massive. Prove me wrong Joss. You know you want to.

4. If you managed to read this far, tweet the word ‘Shutterbug’ (@sexyrob) and I promise to give you a personalised SexyRob superhero name.

Check out the trailer below, but don’t expect too much. It’s a teaser trailer after all.

Synopsis: Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in “Iron Man,” “The Incredible Hulk,” “Iron Man 2,” “Thor,” and “Captain America: The First Avenger,” “Marvel’s The Avengers” is the super hero team up of a lifetime.
