// The Hobbit – Official Titles & Elvish News

// Peter Jackson reveals all.

I’m a little late on this one, but it’s important to put up the important stuff regardless of speed. The titles for Peter Jackson’s up coming films are as follows: The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, which will arrive in cinemas around December, 2012 followed by The Hobbit: There and Back Again around December, 2013. Bam!

Possessing one of the largest casts ever assembled The Hobbit stars this very lengthy list of actors and actresses; Martin Freeman, Orlando Bloom, Andy Serkis, Elijah Wood, Hugo Weaving, Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett, Richard Armitage, Jed Brophy, Adam Brown, John Callen, Stephen Fry, Ryan Gage, Mark Hadlow, Peter Hambleton, Stephen Hunter, William Kircher, Sylvester McCoy, Bret McKenzie, Graham McTavish, Mike Mizrahi, James Nesbitt, Dean O’Gorman, Lee Pace, Mikael Persbrandt, Conan Stevens, Ken Stott, Jeffrey Thomas and Aidan Turner

That’s right. You did read that correctly. Orlando Bloom is back. Jackson confirmed via his Facebook page that Bloom would be making a return visit with him to Middle Earth. He said, “Ten years ago, Orlando Bloom created an iconic character with his portrayal of Legolas. I’m excited to announce today that we’ll be revisiting Middle Earth with him once more. I’m thrilled to be working with Orlando again. Funny thing is, I look older—and he doesn’t! I guess that’s why he makes such a wonderful elf.”

If Jackson thought he had his work cut out last time, that’s nothing compared to how much hope rests on his shoulders this time around. The hype is going to be incredible and criticism will be delivered like a punch to the crotch if Jackson fails to deliver the goods. Good luck PJ!

thanks for reading.

  1. Hearing about The Hobbit over the past few months, it’s been the most exciting news I’ve ever heard in my life! This is surely going to build to unbearable levels as we get closer and closer to Christmas 2012 when the first part is finally released.
    I’ll probably be one of the ones camping outside the cinema to make sure I get a ticket first 🙂
