To support the launch of the new Angry Birds iPhone/iPad app, Rovio and Twentieth Century Fox has also released a new mash-up video featuring the Angry Birds and Nigel, the evil cockatoo from RIO – Check it out here www.rio-themovie.com/angrybirdsrio
Nothing, and I mean nothing, is as addictive as Angry Birds. It’s virtually the perfect blend of mental strain, competitiveness, addictiveness and frustration all in one gloriously packaged melting pot. It’s so addictive I once observed my friend Matty (my Girlfriend’s brother-in-law to be) play just one level for about 4 hours solid. It was quite remarkable. For the full pleasure of Angry Birds to be enjoyed though it needs to be bought on the iPad, which is so beautiful it brings a tear to my eye every day on the train.
On a side note, I think this movie has me obsessing about it because it features Jermaine Clement as the all singing and dancing, Nigel. For a long time now I have maintained a strong man-crush on the gentle Kiwi giant. The movie has only exacerbated this.
In case you missed my original post about Rio in the UK… Here is the synopsis of the movie:
From the makers of the hit Ice Age series, RIO is a comedy-adventure about taking a walk on the wild side. Blu is a domesticated Macaw who never learned to fly, living a comfortable life with his owner and best friend Linda in the small town of Moose Lake, Minnesota. Blu and Linda think he’s the last of his kind, but when they learn about another Macaw who lives in Rio de Janeiro, they head to the faraway and exotic land to find Jewel, Blu’s female counterpart.
Thanks for reading (Mum).
Super 8 – A trailer for your sweet ass.
I may be a little late in posting this trailer, but as they say in France, “Fuck off, I’m busy eating frogs.” I’ve also started my new jobbie at a fantastic new agency, so I’ll be dipping in as much as possible work pending.
Here for your viewing/commenting pleasure is the Super 8 trailer. The movie, based on this and the teaser trailers, looks great. I think now when we see JJ Abrams attached to a movie we can breathe a sigh of relief. Let us hope I am not wrong. Could be another game changer.
In the summer of 1979, a group of friends in a small Ohio town witness catastrophic train crash while making a super 8 movie and soon suspect that it was not an accident. Shortly after, unusual disappearances and inexplicable events begin to take place in town, and the local Deputy tries to uncover the truth – something more terrifying than any of them could have imagined.

Rango. Surreal and brilliant, or so I’ve been lead to believe. Featuring the voice talent of Johnny Depp, Isla Fisher and Bill Nighy on the surface it looks like a top movie for the eye balls and ear sacks to enjoy. I’ve been sent a clip for you guys to watch at your convenience. What do you think? Pixar throne contender or Legend of the Guardians? (The weird one with the owls)
A chameleon that aspires to be a swashbuckling hero finds himself in a Western town plagued by bandits and is forced to literally play the role in order to protect it.
